New Student Registration Important Information

Register for Courses

Now that you have received specific program information from your Academic Advisor, you are ready to register in courses for the Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 semesters. 


Here are some resources to help you complete your course registration:

  1. Watch the Registration Tutorial Series. Learn important details about navigating MyMRU and course registration, including looking up course descriptions and registering in courses. 
  2. Your Academic Advisor has carefully prepared the information that you need to choose your courses for the Fall and Winter semesters. Please check your program advising guide for this information as it will help you choose the right courses.
  3. Register for your courses!

Academic advisors are available to schedule phone or online advising appointments. Please check your department advising site for more information about booking your appointment, or email your advisor directly for information about the best way to schedule an appointment. Find your advisor. 

Common issues


  • Trouble logging into your MyMRU account - Visit the Account Resources section on MyMRU or Tech Tutorials for more information.
  • A “hold” on your account - contact your Academic Advisor via email (be sure to include your Student ID Number in your email. This number starts with 201 and is nine digits long)

 

Register for New Student Orientation

  • Orientation is a series of virtual workshops starting in May to get you comfortable with your first year at Mount Royal. We will be providing a range of social, academic, and technical support over the course of the summer. Registration is now open for Orientation.

  • Access & Inclusion Services - If you had an IPP in high school or if you experience disability-related barriers, connect with Accessibility Services and submit a Public Request Form

  • Check your email regularly - It is essential that you set up your Mount Royal email address and that you check it regularly. This is where you will receive important information you need as you prepare for your Fall 2021 semester.
