Welcome to Mount Royal University! Here is a checklist of next steps to get started this summer. Check off these items one by one and you'll be ready for a great start come September. Keep in mind that some items may not be relevant to all incoming students.

Registration and courses
- Check your Mount Royal (@mtroyal.ca) account daily. This is your official email account
- Check your Advising Guide for the courses you need
- Register for your courses / connect with an advisor
- Add the Academic Schedule/Critical Dates to your Google calendar
- Meet your conditions of admission
Get to know MRU
- Register for and complete your Online Orientation
- Get ready with our Welcome Guide and review important onboarding information
- Attend a virtual Pre Arrival Workshop
- Stay up to date on New Student Orientation events, programming and register for a Campus Tour and your in-person Orientation.
- Sign up for the First-Year Mentorship Program where you will be paired with a fellow upper year student in your program to support you through your first year at MRU
- Invite your parents and supporters to attend Parent and Supporter Orientation on Aug. 13
Get set for being on campus
- If you require academic accommodations, contact Access & Inclusion as soon as possible. Waiting until classes begin may delay your accommodation
- Apply for Residence
- Enable multi-factor authentication on your Mount Royal account
- Submit a photo and get your ONECard
- Set up MyFare app for UPass
- Get your locker through MyMRU
Tuition and fees
- Pay tuition by Aug. 14
- Check out government student loans/RESPs
- Add MRU to your auto-deposit e-transfer set up for future refunds
- Get your textbooks
- Purchase a dining plan
- Purchase your parking permit
Ensure your information is up-to-date
- Update your emergency contact information in MyMRU
- Update your SIN information in MyMRU
