We are excited to announce that this year, Mount Royal University will be launching our Employee Award series including the Chancellors and Presidents Awards as well as the My MRU Awards. The University values and appreciates the exceptional work and contributions of our employees and we aim to celebrate those who have dedicated themselves to the success of Mount Royal.
Chancellor's and President's Excellence Awards
The Chancellor’s and President’s Excellence Awards recognize the exceptional contributions of employees, students and community members who embody the spirit and values of Mount Royal.
MyMRU Awards
The MyMRU Awards will honour the exemplary achievements of Mount Royal employees who embody the qualities of what it means to be an outstanding employee.
Faculty Excellence Awards
These awards recognize the exemplary achievements of Mount Royal faculty. These annual awards honor excellence in scholarly teaching, service and scholarship

Celebrate U Framework
In 2022, it was determined that we needed to redesign our recognition program to align with our strategic goals, vision, and values. With this in mind, Human Resources consulted employee groups across campus in an effort to better understand where we needed to go in order to better celebrate the achievements of our community. From this work, Celebrate U was created.
Celebrate U is designed to ensure that all employees, regardless of their role, have the ability to give and receive recognition to celebrate accomplishments big and small. From your first year to retirement, Mount Royal is here to Celebrate U.
