MRU students win CPA Business Challenge
The CPA Business Challenge case competition was held on Friday March 8 at the Sheraton Cavalier. Teams from University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge, University of Alberta, SAIT, NAIT, MacEwan University, Athabasca University and Mount Royal University participated in this prominent case competition sponsored by the CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF). In total, fifteen teams participated, with two from MRU.
One of the teams from The Bissett School of Business placed first overall and received a cash prize of $10,000. The winning team presented their case with tremendous competence, confidence and organization. Comments from the judges included, "the Mount Royal team had the best deck of slides", "the team answered questions with confidence and poise", "the recommendations were very well analyzed and articulated" and "the team presented their analysis in a very organized manner".
