International Opportunities
Outbound Exchanges As a Mount Royal University student, you can spend one or two semesters on exchange, studying at one of our partner institutions. International Education at Mount Royal University also offers short term (2 - 4 week) summer exchanges. This is a great option if you are looking for an independent experience that combines academics with ample opportunity for additional travel.
How to start the process to go on exchange: Attend a Study Abroad information session!
This is the best way to get started with your exchange. Get an overview of the whole process and all of the information that you need to get started in a 45 minute info session. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have. International Education hosts an info session at a different time each week so you will be able to find a session that fits your schedule. You can see the full schedule here.

Field SchoolDive into this academically robust opportunity as you travel with a group of Mount Royal University faculty and students to combine experiential learning and coursework to integrate your learning with your international destinations. This is a great option if you want a more structured opportunity for an academically focused international experience.

This is the best way to get started with your Field School. A Study Abroad Info Session will give you a general overview of how you can go abroad with International Education, including information about the Field School process. See the full schedule here.
A specific Info Session will also be held for each Field School. This is a great way to learn more about the specifics of each course and trip. See the link above to find out when each session will be held.
Visit the International Education Website for additional information on field schools.International Work Experience Gain international work experience, intercultural communication skills, and experience another culture while you complete your work term (co-op). This is a great option if you want to have an enriching international experience and set your work experience apart from that of your peers.
Completing international work experience as part of your Mount Royal Program
If you plan to complete a Co-operative Education program as part of your Bachelor of Business Administration, you have the opportunity to complete it abroad. To do this, you will work with both your work experience coordinator and an International Education coordinator.

Special International Opportunities for Business StudentsStudents in Business can spend their fourth year (fall and winter semester) at ESSCA School of Management in Angers, France. This is a great opportunity for students who want to internationalize their degree, live abroad and are considering pursuing a Master's program after finishing their BBA (the year long exchange counts towards the first year of the Masters degree at ESSCA).
