BIOGRAPHY
Cathy Roy-Heaton joined the Faculty of Mount Royal University's Bissett School of Business in 2009. She received her Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (Finance) from Queen's University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. She also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Cathy has an extensive background in finance practice and university level teaching. Her finance experience includes tenure in both banking and industry, including trading, treasury, liquidity management, corporate finance, currency and interest rate risk management, financial risk management policy and pension plan management. Prior to joining Mount Royal University she taught at the University of Calgary and the University of Lethbridge.
Cathy mentors the Bissett School of Business student team for the CFA Institute Research Challenge. She currently serves on the Executive Team of the Disciplinary Review Committee of the CFA Institute and is serving as the Co-Chair of the 2017 CFA Society Calgary, Women in Finance conference.
