Jamie Anne Vaughan is a business strategist, communications expert, and educator with over a decade of experience leading strategic initiatives across corporate, agency, and entrepreneurial settings. She joined Mount Royal University in 2021 as a sessional instructor and transitioned to a full-time assistant professor role in 2025. She is cross-appointed to both the Bissett School of Business and the School of Communication Studies, where she teaches courses in business communications, communications theory, and contemporary communications.

Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Film & Media from Queen's University and an MBA with a specialization in Leadership from Dalhousie University. Her professional background spans marketing, PR, and strategic planning for clients across a wide range of industries, including energy, agriculture, finance, technology, and wellness.

As the founder of Westwood Strategies, a communications and marketing consultancy, Jamie partners with entrepreneurs, executives, and organizations, to align their brand and messaging with broader business goals. Her approach integrates critical thinking, storytelling, and data-informed decision-making—skills she brings into the classroom to equip students for real-world success.

Jamie is also an active member of the business and communications communities, serving on the board of the Calgary chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. She regularly mentors emerging professionals and speaks on topics such as marketing strategy, leadership communications, and the future of work.
