Honours Bachelor of Business Administration
The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration is available to students in all seven majors of the BBA. Admission is competitive, and applications are accepted each year from September 15 to November 15, as long as a student has completed a minimum of 20 courses and has a GPA of at least 3.5 on their most recently completed 20 courses as of June 30 of the application year.
The 2024/2025 BBA Honours program application is now available! The deadline to apply for the BBA Honours program is November 15, 2024.
Important information about the 2024/2025 application:
- please email completed applications to cocallaghan@mtroyal.ca or drop off the completed application to EB 2141
- please forward an email from your Supervisor confirming their committment to the role to cocallaghan@mtroyal.ca if the instructor is unable to sign the BBA Honours Research Project Agreement form in person

Honours FAQs
Students may complete the Honours stream in all of the BBA majors. Depending on the curriculum year a student is following, 36 of the courses in the Honours BBA are identical to those in the four BBA majors.
The students in the Honours BBA must take the following two (2) courses, and can be used towards their four (4) BBA electives:
- MGMT 5110 - Research Methods for Business
- MGMT 5120 - Honours Research Project
- MGMT 5110 - Research Methods for Business
